Services:
  • Psychotherapy -- Individual, Family, Marital, and Group therapy is available for children, adolescents, and adults.

  • Therapy groups for children, adolescents, and young adults -- The primary focus of our group work is building self-esteem and self-confidence through the development of healthy relationships. Our groups provide experiences of self-expression, interpersonal feedback, mutual acceptance and success in relationships. It is our belief that these experiences are beneficial for young people with a variety of emotional concerns and behavioral problems.

As group leaders our responsibilities include: providing a safe and supportive atmosphere; stimulating group cohesion; fostering openness to the perspective of others; encouraging both discussion and resolution of relationship issues within the group; fostering relevant and reality based discussion; and providing adult perspective and information pertaining to mental health concerns.

We use a variety of exercises to both promote group cohesion and provide opportunities for self-expression. While we initiate activities and take a central role in the groups, our goal is to assist the members in asserting their own needs, perceptions, and interests.

  • Psychological Evaluations and Testing -- Evaluations of intellectual, academic, and/or personality functioning are available. The specifics of the evaluation are determined by the needs of the child and the questions to be addressed.
