In addition to
the programs and services we offer at our main office, we provide
a variety of services in local schools.
We also provide
services within a number of local schools. In each circumstance,
we work with school counselors, teachers, administrators, and parents
to best meet the needs of the students.
- At a number
of schools, we have offered on-site Social Skills therapy groups.
Groups meet either after school hours or during a lunch period.
- During the
winter months, we are often engaged to teach Interviewing Skills
to students who will be moving on to another school.
- In certain
schools, we have provided in-school classes on a regular basis
in conjunction with the teaching staff.
- We often come
into a school on an "as needed" basis to provide intervention
for issues related to group dynamics, teasing, and peer relations.
- Over the years,
we have given presentations to both parent groups and teachers
on issues related to non-verbal communication and social skills.
