SUMMER 2009 THERAPY OPTIONS

TWO LOCATIONS FOR SUMMER 2009:

TWO-WEEK, HALF DAY THERAPY GROUPS
FOCUS ON SOCIAL SKILLS
AND PEER RELATIONSHIPS*
(for ages 6 through Adolescents)
3 hours per day, Mon-Fri for 2 weeks Century Blvd/Atlanta Groups will meet from 9:00am-12noon or from 1:15pm-4:15pm Upper Hembree/Roswell Groups will meet from 11:00am-2:00pm

Cost: $860 (for 10 day sessions) or $800 (for session 3, 9 days) A practical, interactive learning experience, focusing on developing awareness and confidence in basic social skills and nonverbal communication skills. The lessons are enriched with games, art, creative expression, role-plays, and teamwork challenges. Topics may include: Listening, Conversation Skills, Joining In, Impulse Control, Sportsmanship, Dealing with Teasing, Working Together/Compromising, Nonverbal Communication, Anger Management, Expressing Emotions, Assertiveness, & Perspective Taking
Dates

  1. June 1 - June 12 (10 days)
  2. June 15 - June 26 (10 days)
  3. June 29 - July 10 (9 days, no meeting on Friday, 7/3/09)
  4. July 13 - July 24 (10 days)
  5. July 27 - August 7 (10 days)
  • We form our summer sessions by grouping children AND adolescents based on similar needs, age, and availability.
  • Not all age groups will be available at every session.

“MOVING ON” GROUP THERAPY*
A therapy group for young adults facing transitional periods such as starting college, getting a job, moving out of parents home, etc. Meets one day per week.
Ages 17-24                              Cost: $70 per therapy session

Additional Individual and Small Group Therapy Sessions
are also available during the summer and throughout the year.
