Jeffrey Jones, Ph.D
Dr. Jones has been seeing children, adolescents and adults in individual, group, marital and family therapy in the Atlanta area for over 30 years. He has taught Psychotherapy at Emory University's Clinical Psychology Graduate program and frequently provides workshops on child therapy for the Georgia Psychological Association.
Lisa Heimann, Ph.D
Dr. Lisa Heimann joined the practice in 1998 after 17 years with Dekalb County Schools. For most of that time, she was clinical coordinator at a psychoeducational center for students with emotional problems. She has been working with children, adolescents and families for 20 years. She is currently an adjunct faculty member at Emory University.
Ben Garrison, Psy.D.
Dr. Ben Garrison first joined Beyond Words as a practicum student while he was in the clinical psychology doctoral program at Argosy University Atlanta. He earned his doctorate in the summer of 2011 and returned to Beyond Words as a full-time therapist. Dr. Garrison's concentration in graduate school was child and family psychology, and his clinical experience includes working with children, adolescents, and adults in private practice and psychiatric inpatient hospital settings. Dr Garrison divides his time between the Century Blvd location and our Roswell office.
Kelly Hurlimann, MA, MFT
Kelly graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in psychology. She also studied child and adolescent development during her undergraduate career at the University of Zurich, Switzerland. She completed her masters in clinical psychology, in the marriage and family therapy program at Pepperdine University in Los Angeles, California. While in graduate school, Kelly trained as a child and family therapist in a family oriented intervention program, working with parents and young children with Autism spectrum disorders, Anxiety and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity disorder, who had difficulties with socialization, emotional regulation and language development. Kelly pursued further training in family systems and child therapy at the Ackerman Institute for the Family in New York, before joining Beyond Words Center in 2011.
Lane McCraw, LMSW
Lane earned her Master in Social Work from the George Warren
Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis, where she
completed a specialization in Family Therapy. Her background includes advocacy
work, counseling, and crisis intervention. She has worked in community and
residential settings with children and adults facing diverse challenges including
developmental disabilities, ADHD, anger management, behavioral problems,
relationship difficulties, and personal histories of abuse. She was thrilled to
become a part of the Beyond Words team in August of 2010.
Laura Tuttle, LMSW
Laura Tuttle, LMSW studied psychology at Agnes Scott College in Atlanta, Georgia and obtained a Master in Social Work at Boston College in Boston, Massachusetts. She has experience working with children in school, inpatient, and outpatient settings. Laura works with children and adolescents in group and individual formats. Having fun in a safe, structured, positive environment is her top goal at Beyond Words.
MarySue Zercher, M.S., LPC
Mary Sue Zercher is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She has been licensed and working with children in the Atlanta area for twenty years. After working with children in both residential and outpatient settings, she is glad to be at Beyond Words and has been with us since early 2009. You can find her in our Roswell office where she leads groups and sees individual clients.
